Robert Kona: “I am not aware of my exclusion from the CPNR”

In a correspondence that Boubakari Massardine, the secretary general of the Cameroonian Party for National Renaissance (CPNR), sent on March 25 to the Minister of Territorial Administration (Minat), we learn that this opposition political group has definitively excluded from its ranks, its former president Robert Kona. “I am not aware of my exclusion,” commented the person concerned, reached by telephone our colleague SBBC.

It is therefore difficult, for the moment, to know what his political family is accusing him of. Especially since it is not possible to consult the conclusions of the CPNR disciplinary committee for the moment, as indicated by a party executive, also reached by telephone by SBBC. “The press will have to be content for the moment with the correspondence from the secretary general,” indicates our source.

As a reminder, everything started from the Party Ethics and Surveillance Committee of the CPNR who requested and obtained the opening of disciplinary proceedings against Robert Kona. The latter openly admits that he wants to take the reins of the party back into the hands of MP Cabral Libii. This is how the political office of the CPNR asked the disciplinary commission to rule on the Robert Kona case. This commission has just submitted its copy.

But it is not likely that this internal war will end with the definitive exclusion of Robert Kona. The latter still hopes that the justice system, which he has seized, rules in his favor.
