Most of these candidates are no longer of the required age to be eligible to compete. This is the reason why they are asking the Head of State to bring them into Enam because, “equality of opportunity is wishful thinking.”
For more than a decade, the results of the ENAM entrance examination have been regularly at the center of all kinds of controversy in Cameroon. By way of illustration, in a gracious appeal sent on October 5, 2020 to the Minister of Civil Service, Ahmadou Yaya, an unsuccessful candidate for the general administration section, denounces the final admission of another Ahmadou Yaya.
He specifies that the latter, born in 1993, never composed or signed the attendance sheets. His place remained empty during the tests. The applicant, the only one to have composed and been eligible, is surprised that when the final results are published, his name disappears in favor of the one who neither composed nor was eligible.
