An appointment as a prelude to the National Congress of this political formation which will take place in 2023.
Barrister Djomgang Adeline Lord(Photo) since June 16, 2022 is the new Secretary General of the opposition Social Democratic Front (SDF). She replaces Senator Jean Tsomelou who moves to the post of President of the Agriculture and Rural Development Standing Committee of the SDF Shadow Cabinet.
The decisions co-opting new members of the SDF National Executive Committee, appointing officials in the General Secretariat and designating officials in the Standing Committees of the Shadow Cabinet were made public this June 16, 2022 afternoon during the press conference the SDF National Chairman, John Fru Ndi gave at his Nkolfoulou residence in the outskirt of Yaounde.
He explained that the decisions were taken to fill vacancies is some positions, revitalize the party and prepare for future challenges .
“ Our party is engaged in an exercise to renew structures at the national level which will culminate in a congress which will take place in 2023, according to the calendar of the National Executive Committee ”, declared the Chairman during a press conference held on Thursday in Yaounde.
The historic leader of the SDF has already noted that certain clashes punctuate the process of renewing the party’s organs. “(It has been) brought to my attention on several occasions that some party officials are trying to block this very important exercise for the life of our party. Let it be clear that any member of the party found guilty of having blocked this exercise will be severely punished,” he warned.
For the rest, new profiles have also entered the National Executive Committee, the political office of the party.
