Hysacam invests 12 billion FCFA in the purchase of 100 trucks

The purchase of this rolling stock comes from a partnership between the car dealer Cami Motors Cameroon, Renault Trucks and Hysacam.

The Hygiene and Sanitation Company of Cameroon (Hysacam) officially presented, on August 20, 2021 in Douala, the economic capital of the country, a batch of 100 newly acquired trucks, with a view to boosting its household waste collection activities in the country.

Worth 12 billion FCFA, this equipment, we learn, is the result of a partnership between the car dealer Cami Motors Cameroon, Renault Trucks and Hysacam which ensured the delivery of 100 machines: “the partnership between Hysacam, Cami and Renault Trucks companies date back over 40 years. Renault Trucks, Hysacam and Cami have continued to adapt these trucks to the intensive use required by this very demanding activity with trucks that operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Over the past 20 years, more than 400 Renault Trucks have been acquired to renew the Hysacam fleet, and 220 units have been delivered over the past four years ”, commented on the occasion, Denis Zapulla, Managing Director of Cami motors Cameroon.

These new trucks will ensure the cleanliness of cities as Cameroon prepares to host a major sporting event, CAN Total Energies 2021. They will also improve the frequency of passage of collection trucks. in the neighborhoods, to set up the meeting of the housewife and considerably reduce the heaps of garbage in the cities, ”promised Michel Ngapanoun, CEO of Hysacam.

The acquisition of this equipment will save around 500 young people from unemployment at a time when the problem of wage defaults is acute due to the financial crisis.
