Heavy Rains accompanied by severe weather conditions have become frequent in the Bamboutos division since the start of the rainy season.

In Babadjou subdivision, Mbouda division, at least 3 electric poles along the Bamendousso – Bamelo (photo) street were brought down due to strong winds and rains in the early hours of Wednesday 27, 2022.

At Kingplace, another Quarter in the same subdivision, a similar weather condition brought down trees and at least two electric poles felt down leaving many homes roofless. The situation has plunged most of these neighborhoods into total darkness. A darkness that might remain for long if competent authorities do not take necessary measures on time.

Just to recall that last Monday in Tasse, Galim subdivision, heavy rains brought down a high tension electric pole that electrocuted a man to death and left another severely injured. While waiting for ENEO’s reaction to resolve the problem, inhabitants of the said neighborhoods are in panic.
