The Cameroonian army has put an end to the journey of a famous Ambazonian general. According to corroborating sources, General “Cross and Die” was shot dead by regular forces in Mankon, North West region on Friday.

The “General Cross and Die” whose identity has not been released was eliminated by the army on Friday in Ntamafe, a district of Mankon, Bamenda, the regional capital of the North-West. This self-proclaimed leader leads an armed separatist faction that sows terror in the region.

For now, a vagueness remains on the conditions of his death. According to some sources, he was not shot on the battlefield but at the time he was participating in the ceremony of one of his relatives. This self-proclaimed general had joined Ambazonia Defense forces for a very long time.

The Cameroonian army has just dealt a big blow to the English-speaking separatists who have stepped up attacks in recent weeks against the defense and security forces and the civilian populations. These attacks come as some observers call on the Yaoundé regime to change its position in order to put an end to this conflict which has been tearing apart the North-West and South-West regions of Cameroon since 2016.
