Since prison, the Ambazonian leader has changed his vocation. He has become a disciple of Jesus for his fellow prisoners, according to Banda Kani, who spoke on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 on a private radio in Douala.

Sisiku Ayak Tabe has been in the hands of the Biya regime for three years now for calling for the secession of the English-speaking area of Cameroon. He was sentenced to life in August 2019, away from his struggle, from his soldiers, he will be overthrown by one of his relatives to take the head of Ambazonia. His destiny as liberator of the Ambazonian people has changed direction. He eventually resolves that his own release is for the time being compromised. He will then decide to change his vocation. He decides to divulge the good news of the Gospel to all his fellow inmates. He now wears the garment of Pastor.

On ABK radio this Tuesday, August 10, 2021, Banda Kani spoke about this conversion of Sisiku on a private radio in Douala. “Ambazonia leader and president Ayuk Tabe has become a pastor in prison. He understood that the Anglophone crisis case is bad. The President of the Republic manages this situation on a large scale. He must not go to the English-speaking areas, he will stay in Etoudi, otherwise you will send a sniper to kill him like Idriss Deby Itno, ”he declared.

According to the president of the New Popular Movement (NMP), Ambazonian “paradise” is “a chimera that will never come true”: “We will never accept secession. We must reconcile the military response and dialogue to get out of this crisis in the North-West and the South-West, “explained the former Manidem executive.

In Cameroon, the crisis in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon has assumed worrying proportions for nearly five years now. On the ground, the Ambazonians and the Cameroonian army are waging a merciless war. It is with this momentum that Sisiku Ayuk urges his supporters to hold on.

The separatist leader posted on July 7, 2021, a message that is unambiguous about his resolve in favor of secession. “We have to do what we have to do today; we will and we must as Ambazonians, so that our children can do what they want to do tomorrow, ”he tweeted.

As a reminder, on August 20, 2019, the Yaoundé Military Court sentences Ayuk Tabe and nine other of his supporters to life imprisonment. It must be said that Sisiku Ayuk Tabe is presented as the main engine of the ongoing protest in the North West and South West regions since 2016. In January 2020, he was arrested in Nigeria with nine of his companions. Extradited to Cameroon, they were sentenced in August of the same year to life imprisonment and a record fine of CFAF 250 billion.

On the ground, unfortunately, their arrest did not end the violence. The abuses have even become almost daily. Several NGOs speak to date of more than 3,000 dead and at least 600,000 displaced, as well as tens of thousands of refugees in neighboring Nigeria.
