The latter especially reassured on the security aspect around the organization of his funeral, especially in Bamenda. “Security will be total in Bamenda. All arrangements have been made so that all those participating in these funerals coming from abroad, and from inside Cameroon are received, ”explains Joshua Osih.
The Chairman’s body lifting is scheduled for next Thursday at 4 pm at the General Hospital of Yaoundé and an ecumenical worship will follow at 6 pm at the Sports Palace. The departure for Bamenda will be on Friday 28 July 2023 at 4:00pm from the late sise’s residence at Nkolfoulou by Soa.
This outing of the first vice-president of the party is not fortuitous, the Ambazonians intend to disrupt the funeral of Ni John Fru Ndi, leader of the SDF who died last June 12 in Yaoundé. The leader of the Ambazonia Governing Council and its armed wing, the Ambazonia Defense Force invited the people of Bamenda, the North West regional capital to stay at home on July 28. “I urge everyone to stay off the streets of Bamenda on July 28. All foreign emissaries and authorities are informed by this message. We have also imposed a curfew throughout Mezam. All bars must close before 10 p.m.,” said Dr Ayaba Cho Lucas.
