The student at the University of Bamenda, capital of the North West region, was killed in a traffic accident on the Bambui-Bambili road on Thursday, December 16, 2021.

According to reliable sources, Sama Ransom Atud was aboard a motorbike with two other passengers when they were struck by a fast-moving vehicle. The young student died on the spot while the other two victims returned to the hospital to surrender.
Other testimonies also blame the poor condition of the road such as this taxi driver who claims that “Driving on this road is a nightmare because seeing a vehicle coming is an almost impossible thing.”
