Summoned by the judge in the case between him and the Aya Foundation, the journalist from Bnews 1 finally appeared in court on August 10, 2021 with his lawyer.

Ernest Obama went to the Yaoundé Court of First Instance on Tuesday, August 10, in connection with the case which has opposed him for many months to the Paul Ayah Abine Foundation.

After snapping a photo with the complaint’s son Ayah, Ernest Obama said on Facebook, “Justice is not war. Time is the real court of history “.

Ernest Obama was expected at the Yaoundé Court of First Instance (TPI) at 7:30 a.m. in connection with the case between the L’Anecdote and Vision 4 Group and the Ayah Foundation.

Ayah Ayah Abine, the director of the eponymous foundation and son of the former English-speaking magistrate Ayah, had filed a complaint against the journalist and several different media for “defamation and false denunciation“.

The complaint arose out of Ernest Obama’s comments on statements made by Territorial Administration Minister Paul Atanga Nji. Hinting that Ayah Foundations, would be complicit in terrorist acts perpetrated in the North-West and South-West regions. The former CEO of Vision 4, had granted discharge to said statements by Minister Atanga Nji. Which angered Ayah’s son. The latter decided to take legal action.
