On Tuesday, October 26, 2021, the national president of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement (CRM) released a statement on electoral fraud being prepared by the current governing regime for the upcoming electoral consultations.
In an announcement on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, Maurice Kamto, criticizes a maneuver of the CPDM which aims to make fraud during the next electoral deadlines in our country. “Thus, behind this unrealistic and incongruous announcement of the CPDM, according to which it would count four million militants inserted, looms a real electoral coup for which Elecam prepares the opinion by a voluntary reduction of the true number of registered on the lists electoral ”, regrets Maurice Kamto.
“Let it be clear to the Rdpc and its supporters, the MRC and the people of change will not tolerate any fraud in any upcoming ballot in our country. The spoliation suffered by the Cameroonian people during the historic presidential election in October 2018 will not happen again without serious consequences for the regime. It is to avert such consequences that the MRC has worked tirelessly with several other political parties and civil society organizations, in order to present the Cameroonian people and then to propose to the Government a draft text of amendments for a consensual reform of the Electoral Code through a revision law ”, warned the president of the Mrc.
To avoid this, the unsuccessful 2018 presidential candidate in Cameroon appeals to his supporters, activists and the entire Cameroonian people. “I call on activists, supporters of our party and all the people of change in peace and through the ballot box to remain vigilant. I call on them to be ready to block the way for the electoral coup d’état in preparation, based on the fantasized number of fictitious members of the CPDM. May those who hope to retain power by non-democratic means and methods immediately renounce their disastrous plan, because they will find a determined Cameroonian people on their way ”, continues Maurice Kamto before making a promise to the Cameroonians.
“If, for the misfortune of our country, such a coup were attempted, I will be alongside our People for this vital fight for the future of the Nation. Because, on the outcome of this final fight would undoubtedly depend our common future. I will not betray you, ”he concludes.
