“The official funeral is held in honor of Simon Achidi Achu, former prime minister. Died on May 04, 2021 in the United States of the consequences of illness. His official funeral will take place on Saturday July 3, 2021 in Santa, Mezam division, northern region ”, we can read in the decree of the old lion. The remains of the former statesman arrive at Yaoundé-Nsimalen International Airport on Wednesday, July 03, 2021 at 11:00 p.m.
After meditations and prayers at the home of the 87-year-old man in the Lac quater in Yaoundé as well as the tributes of parliamentarians, the funeral procession will move towards Santa where the burial will follow on July 3.
