Obituary: The vice-president of the National Assembly, Emilia Lifaka is dead

The 62-year-old parliamentarian died on April 20, 2021. The announcement of the death of this political figure from Cameroon has just been announced by the national media.

The National Assembly is in mourning. “The Honorable Emilia Mojowa Lifaka is no more. The vice-president of the National Assembly passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 ”, we can read on CRTV twitter.

The parliamentarian from Bonjongo, a suburb of Buea, the regional capital of the southwest, is leaving a few days after the celebration of his 62nd birthday. She was indeed born on April 11, 1959.

A member of the Cameroonian National Assembly since 2002, she was elected vice-president of the National Assembly in 2009 like her other CPDM comrades, members of the assembly bureau.

She was elected on November 7, 2017 as head of the Executive Committee of the prestigious Association of Commonwealth Parliamentarians (CPA). She was also chairman of the Executive Council of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) and died on April 20, 2021 from illnesses at the age of 62.

The Honorable Emilia Mojowa Lifaka is a single mother with two grown men. She holds a secretarial and business studies degree from Crown Secretarial and Business Studies College, London, and an administrative management degree from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore USA.

The death of the Honorable Lifaka comes in a context marked by many deaths. In particular Cardinal Christian Tumi, the ministers in office Adoum Gargoum and Sadou Hayatou, Gervais Mendo Ze, the former director general of the CRTV and a few hours ago, Germaine Ahidjo, the former First Lady.
