National Day 2022: The Democratic Republic of Congo invited to the military parade

A detachment of the armed forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) will take part in the parade on May 20 in Yaoundé.

The DRC is invited to the National Day of Cameroon on May 20th, 2022. A detachment made up of a hundred elements of the armed forces of this country, will take part in the military parade in Yaoundé.

These elements have been participating since this morning in the rehearsal of the military parade at the 20th may Boulevard. It was in the presence of senior officers of the Cameroonian army and the Minister of Defense, Joseph Beti Assomo.

The parade returns after two years of suspension due to Covid-19. For health constraints, the parade will last 90 minutes, including 45 for the military parade and 45 for the civil parade in which 3,299 parades will take part.

Recall that this year, Cameroon is celebrating its reunification under the theme: “May 20, 1972 – May 20, 2022: Fiftieth anniversary of the unitary state “Defense and security forces at the service of the people, for the preservation of social peace and national cohesion”.
