Maurice Kamto and his activists, unwanted at the funeral of Christian Penda Ekoka

Agir-Act, the movement he created, made it known in a press release published on August 22, 2021.

Died on August 08, 2021 in Canada, Christian Penda Ekoka will be taken to his last home on August 28. Agir-Act, the movement that the late economist created, indicates in a statement published this Sunday that the former adviser to President Paul Biya will be buried in strict family privacy, at the end of a week of “celebration of his life” .

The biological and political family of the former president of the ACT-AGIR Movement does not wish to see the activists of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement (MRC) at the funeral of their leader. They accuse Maurice Kamto of not having spared Christian Penda Ekoka from the lynchings orchestrated by activists and sympathizers of his party.

As many of you know, the last moments of our President’s life were marked by an extremely violent, unhealthy and unjust cabal orchestrated by members and supporters of his political ally. This episode deeply hurt CPE (Christian Penda Ekoka, Editor’s note) who was surprised at the silence of this ally. Taking note of this situation, the Agir-Act movement, in perfect solidarity with the family of our late president, asks the authors and actors of this abject cabal, in the name of decency, dignity and above all respect for the memory of the illustrious disappeared, to refrain from any participation in the various ceremonies organized on the occasion of this great loss. This will prevent any slippage and allow all our energy to be devoted to paying homage to Christian Penda Ekoka whose life deserves to be celebrated with peace of mind, “writes Yap Boum II, vice-president of Agir-Act.

The two friends of yesterday were cold because of the management of the Operation Survie Cameroon initiated by Maurice Kamto and executed by Ekoka. A gap of 300,000 euros was the bone of contention. And yet in his tributes Maurice Kamto had recognized the excellent work of his ally.

In the absurd adversity created and maintained by the regime in place in Cameroon, Mr. Christian PENDA EKOKA successfully led the unprecedented humanitarian operation, Survie-Cameroon Survival Initiative (SCSI), which was deployed throughout of the national territory to bring aid to the Cameroonian populations abandoned to themselves in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic ”, declared Kamto.
