The Honorable National Assembly Member and renowned economic operator was laid to rest yesterday afternoon in his village Nkol-Ebae, Lekié ward, Central Region.
Before being buried, Jean Bernard Ndongo Essomba was raised to the dignity of the great cordon of Cameroonian merit by the Secretary-General of the Central Committee of the DDPC, Jean Nkuete, representing the Head of State at these official funerals.
It was in the presence of an important ground of government members and a large crowd coming from all corners of the country to bid adieu to the cocoa tycoon.
Died on March 17, 2023 following an illness at the Yaoundé General Hospital, at the age of 77, the politician was a very influential executive of the CPDM. He will have been the indestructible president of the parliamentary group of this party. A position he held from 1992 to 1997, then from 2002 to 2023, a total of 26 years.
In addition to his political cap, Jean Bernard Ndongo Essomba was also a successful businessman. He built his fortune in several sectors of activity, and especially in the cocoa trade.
