Drama: House collapse kills one in Dschang, Western Region

The drama occurred on Wednesday, September 1, 2021

A death and 5 members of a family seriously injured, this is the toll of the collapse of a wall resulting from a landslide which destroyed the house in the Toulé district in Dschang, division of Menoua , region of the west.

This incident yesterday is according to corroborating sources, caused by the torrential rains which fell on the national territory for more than two weeks.

The injured have been rushed to the nearest hospital to the house while the tragically rescued 5-year-old awaits burial.

To limit the damage in the days to come, the security forces came to the scene called on the population to be serious in choosing the construction of their housing.

We still remember the sad memory of the Bikibo 2 district in Ndoghem PK13 in the city of Douala, Littoral region, where Mr. Zoken Georges and his wife had lost their lives in the early morning hours of August 12, 2021, buried in the following the collapse of a wall built just a few heights from their house.

Descended on the spot immediately, the governor of the Littoral region, Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua, had urged residents to leave high-risk areas.
