Following the assassination of an individual on November 26, 2021 in Akono, Méfou-et-Akono division and after the first investigations carried out by the pandores of the local Brigade, a warrant of arrest executed by the Territorial Gendarmerie Brigade Abong Mbang allowed the arrest, on December 2, 2021, of a 28-year-old suspect.

After his package in Akono at the end of November, the alleged assassin took refuge with his aunt in the village of Madouma.
“After his arrest, the alleged perpetrator was taken to the Abong Mbang Gendarmerie Brigade where he is being held in custody pending his transfer to the Akono Brigade, where the open investigation is continuing,” said the national gendarmerie.
