The Minister of Territorial Administration (Minat), Paul Atanga Nji arrived this Saturday in Garoua.

The Minat is in the North region. In his capacity as President of the National Hajj Commission, Paul Atanga Nji arrived in the northern regional capital on Saturday to oversee the departure of the first flights of pilgrims scheduled for Sunday June 26 to Saudi Arabia.

The head of the territorial administration was welcomed at the international airport of Garoua by the Governor of the Region. A total of 4300 Cameroonian pilgrims will go to Mecca. According to figures from the Ministry, 1000 faithful will leave Garoua on Sunday June 26, 2022 on special flights, 2700 benefit from the presidential scholarship, 1500 are VIPs.

Paul Atanga Nji was then received by the Lamido of Garoua, Ibrahim El Rachidine. The minister also held a meeting on security in the northern region.
