As part of the fight against electricity fraud, Eneo Cameroon announces that it is currently deploying a vast campaign to monitor installations throughout the country.

Anarchic and fraudulent connections in our markets and homes are very often the cause of fires that cause both material and human damage. It is to alleviate the situation that Eneo Cameroon intends to launch a national campaign to control electrical installations.

The main objective of this operation is to secure the electricity network and to control customer installations in accordance with Article 13 of the Regulations for the public electricity distribution service in Cameroon. (…) The fight against the illegal use of electricity preserves the general interest. Eneo Cameroon strongly wishes everyone’s involvement. When an inspection team arrives at your home, you are asked to work with them to facilitate the operation, ”explains the company headed by Eric Mansuy.

In addition, Eneo Cameroon invites users who know they are in an irregular situation to go spontaneously to their branches in order to have their facilities standardized and avoid the inconvenience of a procedure that could lead to legal proceedings.

While noting that 30% of the energy distributed comes from unconventional networks, the electrician calls on those concerned to comply in order to reduce the losses already estimated at 60 billion FCFA per year.
