Cameroon-Ekondo Titi tragedy: Pauline Nalova Lyonga visits victims in hospital

Victims of the Ekondo Titi school attack currently undergoing treatment at the Limbe Regional Hospital have received financial assistance and words of encouragement and comfort from the Minister of Secondary Education, Prof. Nalova Lyonga.

The Minister of Secondary Education, Prof. Nalova Lyonga visited four victims of the recent attack on a school in Ekondo Titi currently, treated at the regional hospital of Limbe, southwest region. She paid their hospital bills and handed over financial support to the victims.

“I am very happy that these children are going to heal with time. And I call on all the families, and teachers as well, that everybody should stay with the government and work within the bounds of the dialogue, ”said Nalova Lyonga.

Moved by the government’s prompt action to their plight as well as for settling all their hospital-related costs, the victims and their parents expressed gratitude to the government.

Pastor Joseph Tambe of Winner’s Chapel Ekondo Titi thanked President Paul Biya and Minister Nalova Lyonga for the words of comfort.

We want to appreciate the President of this country and the Minister of Secondary Education and these hospital authorities who have been of tremendous help in the recovering of our children. We as the parents of the victims say thank you, ”said Pastor Joseph Tambe.

Hospital officials say all four victims are currently out of danger and are responding to treatment.

As a reminder, on Wednesday, November 24, armed men opened fire at the bilingual high school of Ekodo Titi. The attack killed four students and a teacher.
