When questioned, a resident of Barombi-Mbo village said the elderly woman was abducted after being accused of killing her son with a mystical snake bite. The deceased was allegedly bitten by a snake on a farm. He would have killed the snake but would have died from the venom he deposited in his body a few hours later.
