According to our colleague Anadolu Agency, a military convoy was attacked yesterday Sunday August 28, 2022 in the North-West region precisely in the locality of Bui. The perpetrators of this attack, says Anadolu are the separatist fighters. And the report of the said attack reports three people dead.

“The separatists attacked the military convoy with a rocket. The toll is two soldiers and one civilian killed,” the mayor said, adding that the army vehicle was completely damaged.

This attack was confirmed to AA by the governor of the region who calls on the population to cooperate with the defense forces to fight “terrorist secessionists”.

Speaking precisely of them, the latter who fight for the secession of Cameroon claimed responsibility for the deadly incident in a video posted online. The authors claim to be from The Bui unity warriors, a separatist armed movement active in the North West region.

The North-West and South-West, two of Cameroon’s ten English-speaking regions, have been facing a serious security crisis since the end of 2016, which has degenerated into an armed conflict between the Cameroonian defense forces and English-speaking separatists.

Since the end of 2017, dozens of cases of murder of soldiers and police have been attributed to English-speaking separatists by the authorities.
