A gang of suspected Amba fighters opened fire on an employee of the HYSACAM waste management company in Bamenda on Wednesday March 30. Reliable sources indicate that the scene took place at Old Simplicity located in Ntarikon, a Quarter of the district of Bamenda II, North West region.

Samuel was shot dead at Old Simplicity in Ntarikon, a neighborhood in Bamenda II sub-division. A message asking them to stop working in the city was sent through him to the company, a source familiar with the incident said.

Media sources, alleged separatists opened fire on the leg of this employee of the company Hygiène et salubrité du Cameroun (Hysacam) on Wednesday March 30, 2022.

Indeed, the separatist fighters would oppose the sanitation operation of the city accentuated at a time when the cholera epidemic is already claiming victims in several regions of the national territory.

As a reminder, this is not the first time that a Hysacam employee has been attacked. We remember that in January 2021, one of them had been shot and then died at the regional hospital in Bamenda.
