They were shot in cold blood on Sunday August 22, 2021 during an attack by armed men.

A rather bloody Sunday in the city of Buea where according to Canal 2 international, “two people were coldly shot dead” in Buea, capital of the Southwest region.

The attackers, sources indicate, were repelled by the defense and security forces. This attack came at the same time as another was carried out at the Presbyterian Church of Ntanfoang, in Bali in the Northwest region. Christians at that church said gunmen suspected of being “soldiers” opened fire on the church building, killing a woman and injuring their pastor.

For now, it is fear in the city of Buea and especially in Bali where, nor the man of God even less the faithful will not immediately have the courage to gather on Sunday to pray to the Lord afterwards. being surprised by gunshots that claimed the life of one of their own yesterday, August 22, 2021.

Recall that on Sunday, July 18, 2021, five police officers were coldly murdered by armed men in Bali, while they were on duty. They were buried barely two weeks ago, and the Nation was grateful to them.

Since the beginning of the Anglophone crisis and the war that followed for more than four years, killings have been almost daily in the two regions of the North West and South West. Apart from the separatist fighters and elements of the defense and security forces who perish in clashes and ambushes, it is civilians caught in the crossfire who pay the heavy price. According to non-governmental organizations, the conflict in the English-speaking area has already caused more than 3,500 dead and more than 700,000 displaced.
