The man in uniform was killed by gunmen on Thursday, September 9, 2021.

Ali, a 2nd grade police inspector working with the police station of the 4th district of Nkwen, district of Bamenda III in the North-West region of Cameroon is no longer.

According to journalist Mimi Mefo, the man in uniform was “shot in broad daylight at a Way store in Nkwen Park” by gunmen on Thursday, September 9, 2021. The same source reports that the owner of the store lost a large amount of money after the police officer was murdered.

I saw how he fights with the man, but I never knew it was a theft case. The next thing I heard was gunshots. That’s when we ran for cover. He was shot by another gunman. The armed men then left the scene on about three motorcycles. The officer was rushed to the Annex Hospital of Mbingo where we learned and late that he had died while the doctors were trying to save his life, ”a witness of the scene told Mimi Mefo.

It should be noted that this is not for the first time that a man in uniform has lost his life at the cost of his devotion to the fatherland: Florence Ayafor, the five police officers killed in Bali on July 18, 2021, are some illustrations of the losses registered in the ranks of the Army in the context of the Anglophone crisis.
