The bus overturned in the late afternoon of Saturday, June 19, 2021 as it descended the redouble cliff of Dschang.
The 70-seater jumbo body involved left the Dschang bus station in the Western Region at around 4 p.m. for Douala in the Littoral Region. For the moment, no human and material toll has been drawn up, but in the first images filmed by a passenger who left unharmed, the car is seen overturned on its side after several rollovers.
The tragedy occurred less than five kilometers outside the capital city of the Menoua division. Relief workers transported the wounded and the dead to Dschang hospital.
On this dreaded cliff, we recorded this Saturday, the fourth fatal accident in the space of six months. The last accident on this dangerous road took place on May 25. Five people were killed there. On January 27, 2021, several people were also killed in a traffic accident on the Dschang Cliff. The accident involved a tanker truck and a 70-seat bus. There were 55 dead, all charred, according to local authorities.
